Creating Family-Friendly Spaces at Totley Hall & Green Oak Parks: Fun, Safe, and Welcoming for All!
Creating Family-Friendly Spaces at Totley Hall & Green Oak Parks: Fun, Safe, and Welcoming for All!
Just as our neighbourhoods need residents’ groups and associations, so our parks need ‘Friends’! It’s all about taking ‘ownership’ of our lives, our local facilities and our areas, and working together to improve where we live.
We have two wonderful parks that require attention and improvements to make them more family-friendly and offer our residents and visitors a place to relax and play.
Let's make Green Oak Park and Totley Hall Park great!
Friends of Totley Green Spaces is still a very new group, and we’re learning as we go! We’re exploring what’s possible, who we can connect with for support, and how to fundraise or apply for grants to help bring our plans for improving both parks to life.
At the same time, we’re maintaining regular contact with Sheffield City Council’s Parks & Countryside team to ensure that routine maintenance isn’t overlooked, repairs are carried out promptly, and our beautiful corner of Sheffield isn’t forgotten.
We welcome input from our community—your thoughts, ideas, and concerns are invaluable as we work together to shape the future of our parks. Our aim is to create a comprehensive plan outlining short-, medium-, and long-term goals for both parks. Please feel free to share your ideas with us, and we will compile them into a draft for community consultation.
